Letter from the VP Recruitment

My name is Lauren Patrick, and I have the highest privilege of serving as this year’s Vice President of Recruitment for the Theta Tau chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta! When I decided to go through recruitment my freshman year, I was so unsure of the process, and not even fully convinced that I wanted to be a part of Greek life but from the first conversations I had in Alpha Gam, I knew it was going to be the place I called home. All of the members I got to know during recruitment were so genuine and eager to build community and I desired relationships like that so deeply! As a senior looking back now, I can confidently say I found the friendships and sisterhood in Alpha Gam that I truly desired and I would not change my experience for the world! In Alpha Gam, a line of our purpose says, “To cherish friendships with but a chosen few and to study the perfecting of those friendships”. Though this is a line that every Alpha Gam member memorizes, it is so much more than just a sentence. The members of Alpha Gam truly live the purpose to become women who support each other and cherish every relationship and memory we carry with one another. My college experience would not be the same without Alpha Gam as my home, and I am overjoyed to have the role of welcoming PC’25 into this sisterhood I cherish so dearly. As Vice President of Recruitment, I promise to cultivate a recruitment experience that’s welcoming, filled with love, and brings genuine sisterhood that will grow to last a lifetime. I truly am the woman I am today because of the way Alpha Gam has shaped me.
